Make-A-Wish

The Make-A-Wish charity are known all over the world for the amazing work they do granting wishes for children with critical or terminal illnesses, allowing them an uplifting break from their day-to-day health struggles.

My work with Make-A-Wish is some of the most satisfying of my career: in both the importance of the work my designs support, but also the opportunity to work with such a fun and colourful brand – they intentionally chose to use cheerful and heart-warming photography and messaging, a departure in style from many other health charities. I’ve had the pleasure to work on a variety of projects with them, including fundraising packs, donation collateral and items that are sold in their gift shop.

Fundraising pack

Fundraising packs are sent out to anyone who is interested in doing a ‘challenge event’ to raise money for the charity, and contain all the important details to allow them to get started. This was often one of the first documents someone would be sent after they signed up to take part in a challenge, so I needed to ensure it effectively supported the brand but also didn’t dilute the sense of excitement captured in the imagery of past challenges. The full leaflet can be viewed here.

Christmas dress up guide

Christmas is taken seriously at Make-A-Wish, and they step up their fundraising efforts with a number of Christmas-themed events. This guide and certificate were sent out to members of the public who wanted to fundraise by dressing up either in their school or place of work in a special Christmas-themed outfit. The full leaflet can be viewed here.

Donation envelope

A small but important project! Donation envelopes were sent out to all fundraising events, so that even at the most casual of events it was clear who the money was being collected for and the important impact it would have.
